Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming. We are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to talk and hang out before, during, and after playing games.

Discord is seeking a Travel Services Manager to support our employees as they travel safely and productively for work.
At Discord, our mission is to create belonging for everyone. This role plays a meaningful part in that mission by ensuring our travelers feel supported, informed, and cared for wherever work takes them.

The Travel Services Manager will report to the Senior Director, Workplace.

You Will:

Traveler Experience & Support

Deliver exceptional, high-touch customer service to Discord travelers — acting as the primary point of contact for travel questions, changes, and support

Champion and promote the travel program to ensure employees understand policies, processes, and available resources

Develop and facilitate travel training for new hires and existing employees

Measure and enhance traveler satisfaction

Logistics & Event Travel

Manage complex, high-volume travel logistics for large-scale company events and onsites, including hotel room blocks for groups of 100–200+ travelers

Source and manage hotel room blocks for company needs

Program & Policy Management

Maintain and regularly update travel policies, applying good judgment to gray-area requests

Evaluate and recommend appropriate levels of company investment in travel

Drive strong program adoption across the organization

Collect and analyze data to continuously improve the travel program

Deliver monthly reporting to provide leadership visibility into travel spend and behavior trends

Vendor & Partner Management

Manage the relationship with our Travel Management Company (TMC) and Online Booking Tool (OBT) provider

Onboard and manage external vendors and partners as the program scales

Participate in contract negotiations with travel service providers

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate closely with Finance on policy development and cost management

Partner with Corporate Security to support traveler safety initiatives

Build strong cross-functional relationships with teams including Admin, Employee Experience, Finance, Corporate Security, and Procurement

You Have:

Corporate Travel Foundation

2+ years of experience working within the corporate travel ecosystem — this could include an in-house corporate travel role, or a closely adjacent role such as an account manager at a TMC supporting corporate clients

Demonstrated familiarity with Travel Management Companies (TMCs) and Online Booking Tools (OBTs) — you have familiarity with these systems and can articulate how they support corporate travel

Customer Service & Communication

A strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills — we're looking for someone who genuinely cares how travelers feel, not just whether the logistics were technically correct

Highly detail-oriented, with a low tolerance for errors — you know that in travel, a small mistake (a wrong date, a missed confirmation number) can have a big downstream impact on someone's trip

Organizational Skills & Judgment

Exceptional organizational skills and ruthless attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple travelers, events, and stakeholders simultaneously

Experience managing complex, high-volume travel logistics — ideally at the scale of 100+ travelers across simultaneous events

Sound judgment on policy gray areas — you can make reasonable cost and policy decisions without defaulting rigidly to the rulebook or saying yes to everything

Environment & Additional Skills

Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment

Experience negotiating hotel room blocks and travel contracts (preferred)

Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, including building customized metrics and generating actionable insights (preferred)
